How to sell on Vestiaire Collective

Vestiaire Collective is Europe's leading marketplace for pre-owned luxury and designer fashion. It rewards accurate, well-photographed listings and takes authentication seriously — which is exactly why it commands strong prices. Here is how to sell on it, and what the fees really cost.

Is Vestiaire Collective right for your items?

Vestiaire is best for genuine designer and luxury pieces where authentication and a premium audience matter. It suits:

How to start selling on Vestiaire Collective

1

Create your seller account

Sign up, verify your details and set your payout method. Listing items is free.

2

Photograph everything, including the details

Shoot in good light from every angle, and add close-ups of the label, serial or date code, hardware and any signs of wear. Accurate photos are what pass authentication and build buyer trust.

3

Fill in the listing precisely

Select the correct brand, category, material and condition. The right brand and category are essential — Vestiaire curates by them, and mislabels get flagged.

4

Price with the fee in mind

Because the EUR selling fee is 17% plus a 3% payment fee, set a price that leaves the margin you want after fees. Check comparable sold listings and use the calculator below.

5

Ship with the prepaid label

When it sells, print the prepaid label Vestiaire provides and drop the item off within the stated window. Higher-value items may route through Vestiaire's authentication centre before reaching the buyer.

6

Get paid and build a track record

Once the item is delivered (and authenticated where applicable), your payout is released. Fast dispatch and accurate listings earn better reviews and faster future sales.

Vestiaire Collective fees (EUR)

Per Vestiaire Collective's official Seller Selling Fees (effective 9 June 2026), the EUR structure is: 17% selling fee on items priced €75–€15,000; a fixed €12 on items under €75; a fixed €2,500 on items over €15,000; plus a 3% payment fee (€3 under €75). Buyers separately pay Buyer Protection and shipping, which do not reduce your payout.

So on a €180 item you'd pay roughly €30.60 (17%) plus about €5.40 (3%), for a payout near €144. Rates in other currencies differ — for example GBP and USD use a 12% standard band. Work out your exact take-home with the free Vestiaire Collective fee calculator, which applies the official band automatically.

Common mistakes to avoid

Under-photographing — missing the label, serial or wear shots that authentication needs
Pricing without accounting for the 17% + 3% fees
Choosing the wrong brand or category, which hides the item and risks removal
Listing only on Vestiaire when the same piece could also sell on Vinted or Grailed

Sell faster: list beyond Vestiaire

Designer pieces sell to a smaller, choosier audience, so reach matters. The same item can also find a buyer on Vinted, Depop or Grailed — the risk of doing that by hand is a double sale on a high-value piece.

Relistly keeps one central inventory and publishes each product to Vestiaire and your other channels; when it sells anywhere, matching listings come down automatically. See the Vestiaire Collective integration, or the pairs Vinted + Vestiaire, Vestiaire + Depop and Vestiaire + Grailed. Note that Voolist does not support Vestiaire and Crosslist does not serve EU sellers — Relistly connects Vestiaire today.

Listing is free. On a sale, Vestiaire's official EUR selling fee (effective 9 June 2026) is 17% on items priced €75 to €15,000, a fixed €12 on items under €75, and €2,500 on items over €15,000, plus a 3% payment fee (€3 under €75). Use the free Vestiaire fee calculator to see your exact payout.
How does authentication work on Vestiaire Collective?
For higher-value items, buyers can choose to have the item routed through Vestiaire's authentication service before it reaches them. Take clear photos of labels, serial numbers and any signs of wear so your listing is accurate and passes checks smoothly.
Who pays for shipping on Vestiaire Collective?
When an item sells, Vestiaire provides a prepaid shipping label. Buyers pay shipping and a Buyer Protection fee on top of the item price, so these do not reduce the seller's payout.
